Food allergies can be life threatening. Many sectors in the community have a role in assisting in managing food allergies including the food industry, health professionals and schools. Food Standards Australia and New Zealand have launched a resource to provide different sectors of the community with links to best practice food allergen resources. The key areas that have been catered for are;

- Food service industry,
- Childcare centres and schools,
- Health professionals,
- Government organisations and,
- Consumers.
