Food allergies can be life threatening. Many sectors in the community have a role in assisting in managing food allergies including the food industry, health professionals and schools. Food Standards Australia and New Zealand have launched a resource to provide different sectors of the community with links to best practice food allergen resources. The key areas that have been catered for are;

  • Manufacturers, retailers and importers,
  • Food service industry,
  • Childcare centres and schools,
  • Health professionals,
  • Government organisations and,
  • Consumers.
