Her previous post-university life included several years as an auditor, insolvency specialist and small business advisor for an international firm giving her a good understanding of legal and regulatory processes and language.
As well as running her own businesses she formulated and taught the business & financial administration course for the Australian School of Reflexology until leaving Sydney in 2007 to owner-build a sustainable house in SE QLD.
Alison spent two years travelling and working in Central America, Australia & New Zealand, Vietnam, China & Tibet including working on sheep farms in outback NSW.
“I’m an information gatherer… I’ve always been researching something ever since I was a teenager – environment, sustainable building, herbal medicine and traditional health practices in particular. The first thing I did when I started my naturopathy studies was to get every book and video I could find out of the library on Aborginal healing practices – I wanted to know about the people of this vast country I had just arrived in.”
