With a passion in health and wellness industry, Sheila pursued a career path encompassing multiple disciplines in both the academic and corporate environments. Sheila began her career in Australia as a research scientist at a medical research institute for more than six years. She has contributed to and co-authored 12 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.
For the past 16 years, Sheila has held positions as Associate Scientist, then Regulatory Affairs and Technical Manager for a global brand in complementary medicine sector. Her key responsibilities include regulatory compliance, product development and product support for the Australia and New Zealand region. Sheila has accumulated extensive knowledge and expertises in legislations governing therapeutic goods, cosmetics, foods, environmental protection, importation and trademark. Sheila has been a board member of the Regulatory Policy Committee of the Complementary Medicines Australia for more than 8 years, actively providing strategic input to the complementary medicine industry.
Sheila graduated from the prestigious Fudan University in China with a major in Biology. She then travelled to USA to study towards a Master degree in Molecular Biology. Sheila strongly believes in holistic approach to health and well-being through optimal nutrition, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle. In her spare time, she enjoys bushwalking, gardening and photography. She also actively participates in community work, organizing events with her alumni association and other not-for profit social groups for more than 20 years.
