Kelly has built an extensive career in the Complementary Medicines industry. She qualified as a Naturopath over 20 years ago, subsequently working in her own Naturopathic clinic, as well as roles in the Health food industry, Pharmacy and in a Natural Health Centre in Edinburgh.
Kelly has created, implemented and trained the Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP), into several pharmacies. QCPP is a quality assurance program for community pharmacy which provides support and guidance on professional health services and pharmacy business operations. To ensure that pharmacies meet the Australian Standard they must undergo an external audit every two years which Kelly monitored.
Working in Pharmacy as a Naturopath and Dispensary technician for many years has provided Kelly with a strong understanding of medicine regulation and standards, particularly in relation to Therapeutic Goods labelling and poisons schedules. In pharmacy, Kelly’s role also included being the complementary medicine and natural health product buyer which has kept her up to date with market trends.
Kelly’s passions are evidence based complementary medicines, herbal medicine and natural skin care which has lead her to a lifetime of study including an Advanced Diploma of Health Science – Naturopathy, Bachelor of Medicines Management with Professional Honours in Complementary Medicines and a Graduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Complementary Medicines.
In her spare time Kelly is a Mum to two beautiful girls. On her family property she enjoys being involved with her husband growing organic herbs and produce she also enjoys travel as well as being involved in various community groups.
